Our team at Whitespace were delighted to exhibit again at this year’s MLN event, hosted in the Titanic Belfast. The event provided another excellent year of Guest speakers ranging from Sports to Charities. During the morning all delegates had the opportunity to enjoy food, beverages, and networking with exhibitors.
Business and Public Sector leaders from across Ireland are using the SuMMit as an opportunity to step back from ‘urgent’ tasks and consider what is ‘important’ for them and their organisations. The event provides world-class stimulus that triggers fresh perspectives, disruptive thinking, new ideas and an impetus to act. Richard’s story is an example of where triumph overcomes tragedy. As a young boy Richard had a tragic experience which resulted in his life changing forever. However, he did not allow this experience to hold him back and has gone on to live an inspiring and fruitful life.
Cathriona Hallahan
Irish Business Titan
Cathriona’s leadership journey is one of the most remarkable in Irish business. She is now a board member and investor in some of Ireland’s leading female-run companies including Keelings, FoodCloud and Beats Medical which she Chairs. She also serves as an independent non-executive for PWC and The Dalata Hotel Group (which includes the Clayton and Maldron brands). Cathriona started work straight from school and joined Microsoft as an accounts clerk in 1986 – she was employee number 24 and progressed through the company to become Managing Director of Microsoft Ireland in 2012.
Alan Mahon
Founder & Executive Chair, Brewgooder
Belfast-born Alan Mahon is the Founder of Brewgooder, a purpose-driven brewery which was the UK’s fastest growing beer brand in 2022. Alan started the social business in 2015, at the age of 26, after contracting a parasite from drinking water on a trip to Nepal. Now a £2m company, Brewgooder has helped around 100,000 people through 140 projects worldwide, providing clean water and food to those in need. With the environment, social justice and water at its core, the company has been recognised as a ‘B Corp Best’ for the World Brewery for three consecutive years.
Martin O’Neill OBE
Legendary Football Manager and Player
Martin O’Neill is one of the most engaging, articulate and successful men in professional football. As a player he won two European Cups as well as the league title in England with Nottingham Forest. He also captained the iconic Northern Ireland 1982 World Cup squad during an international career that involved 64 caps, 8 goals and 2 British Home Championships. His managerial career to date has seen him take charge of some of the biggest clubs in England as well as guiding Celtic through one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.
